Dambura is inspired by geometric stencil fonts from the 1920’s. Paul Renner’s esoteric Futura Black was the main starting point. Just like Renner’s stencil font, Dambura uses primitive shapes to build a complete alphabet. The typeface subscribes to stricter constraints however, simplifying letterforms even further. Dambura eschews unexpected flourishes in favour of tedious conformity, predictability and illegibility. More details here. Dambura is completely free to use for personal applications.
