Exciting New Tools for Designers, August 2025

Our roundup of exciting new tools for designers is a smorgasbord of options, from open source editors to artificial intelligence tools are designed to speed up creative workflows. Most of the tools hitting the market right now include some AI elements, but we do have one “anti-AI” tool featured.    

Here’s what’s new for designers.

Typogram Studio

Typogram Studio is a new tool for designers where they can create typography designs. The tool is packed with fully licensed fonts that you can use to create custom design elements that you can download and export. Play with ligatures, glyphs, special characters and more in a visual editor that’s easy to use. One of the coolest features is the ability to adjust text down to the letter to get exactly what you are looking for from a text element. It also includes an icon generator, searchable color palettes, and exportable images. The tool has free and paid plans.

LaunchDarkly

Developers can ship faster and safer with feature flags using LaunchDarkly. The tools allows devs to accelerate innovation with a management platform that alleviates launch- and release-day worries. With 25+ SDKs and frameworks and more than 60 integrations developers can quickly integrate feature flags into any application stack or existing workflow.

PixiEditor

PixiEditor is a free and open source, desktop graphics editor. This tool is “AI-free,” something you don’t see a lot of right now and can help you do almost anything you want in the two-dimensional space, from image editing to animation to artwork.

VSCO

You may remember VSCO (VSCO Cam) as a camera-editing app. It’s back and reimagined with tools that allow users to capture photos in the app and edit, using preset filters and editing tools. (For creators the app is launching a bonus workspace to connect with people looking for photographers to hire.)

Rustic AI

Rustic AI is a tool that’s still in beta. Use prompts to generate visuals, then refine the design using drag-and-drop tools — from product photos to social content. Everything works in a single interface with no design skills required. Use it for ad creation, social media design, or almost any other simple task.

PicMotionAI

From still images to video in just a few clicks. That’s the PicMotionAI can do for your design workflows. Transform static images into captivating, professional-quality videos using advanced AI technology. Perfect for social media content, digital marketing campaigns, and creative storytelling – no design experience required.

Rendrix

Rendrix is a tool for animators. The AI assistant works with Blender to facilitate simple 3D models, project organization, and workflow automation. What makes this tool great is that it simplifies a lot of the complexities that come with Blender, making a little more accessible to newer users.

Higgsfield

Higgsfield calls itself “the ultimate AI-powered camera control for creators by creators.” It is packed with tools to edit and adjust images quickly and with ease, with so many effects and options you might have a hard time choosing. Use presets, characters, and even talking avatars to find just the imagery you need.

Clueso

Clueso is a tool for turning screen recordings into videos and documentation that you’ll be proud to share. Upload you information and back-end AI tools will take care of all the heavy lifting to help you create great documentation that’s edited and includes captions.

GenYOU

GenYOU is a free personal AI portrait maker that works right on your phone. This AI tool is different because it maintains the integrity of your original image when generating options, so that you always look like yourself in the generated images. And it will create 100 of them!

Vidnoz AI

Vidnoz AI is a tool for making promo, service demos, customer support, training, and learning videos for free. The platform includes 1,700 realistic AI avatars and 1,830 voiceovers to tell your story; plus you can choose from 2,800 pre-made video templates to make videos for any industry. Use the AI video vizard to turn any prompt into a video quickly.

Pictogram Generator
